Glasses & Eyewear Accessories
Debbie Elliott started Ashton, Inc. in 1995. Ashton, Inc. sells optical products to distributors and retailers. In November of 2003, she decided to add another component to her store. She opened up an online store called Reading Glasses For Less, which specializes in glasses and eyewear accessories for an affordable price.
Considering operating an online business was a completely new aspect for Debbie; she sought out MonsterCommerce for help. MonsterCommerce assisted her not only with a shopping cart, but with web design and then optimization.
"My biggest obstacle is my lack of knowledge as it pertains to optimization, designing, html, and everything else with computers," says Debbie. "I overcame this by having MonsterCommerce design and optimize my site!"
The first step Debbie and MonsterCommerce tackled was her website design. She was able to eliminate her fears of trying to designing a website by deciding to work with a knowledgeable web designer from MonsterWebDesign.
"I am very happy with my site's look and feel. MonsterCommerce's web design team designed my site, and I haven't felt the need to make any changes," says Debbie.
Once her site was live with a great design and products, Debbie wanted to get as much traffic as possible generated to her website.
"I chose to have MonsterWebPromotion do my optimization for me," explains Debbie. "It has been almost 2 months since they completed the work and my orders have increased dramatically."
Debbie also utilizes the MonsterSmallBusiness free access forum. This site is dedicated to giving information to new or long-term business owners.
"I spend quite a bit of time in the MonsterSmallBusiness forum. I have probably learned more here than anywhere else," says Debbie. "The MonsterCommerce staff and other storefront owners are very helpful in responding to any questions I have."
Debbie looks forward to achieving even more success in the future; until then, she is happy with the way things are currently going.
"There is nothing more satisfying than watching something grow from nothing into something," says Debbie.
